Good on your two for raising dogs. Perhaps you could train them as service dogs. Don't know if you ever watch Cesar Millan. http://www.cesarsway.com/

We've been here the whole time, just waiting for you.

"I am looking into switching to the Disqus comment engine."

I've been pretty happy with the comments section on my blog. I doubt that I'm pulling the kind of traffic you are, but it's worked for me. I use a plugin called "Comments Evolved for WordPress", which gives my site the capability to use Disqus, Google+, Facebook, and some others. You'll have to forgive me, but I have absolutely no knowledge of how the Typepad system works, so that might be completely useless, but I thought that I'd throw that out there in case there's a comparable plugin for Typepad.

I'm glad to see you back, and I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts.

Craig, we originally considered that. But, the goals my wife and sister in law have in mind are in helping to recover the GSD breed from the damage (there really is no other way to put it) that American show breeding has done. The dogs we are working with are German import stock, and *way* too high drive to be suitable for helper or service dogs.

Mike, the Typepad comment engine is very rudimentary. Since Six Apart sold it so many years ago, the current owners seem more interested in commercial promotion than in communication functionality. That's probably why they have a Disqus pulgin, so they don't have to worry about such things. They still don't have a decent mobile ap, so I can't post from my iPad and it's torure even reading from my Android phone. But on the plus side, they did get spell-check working sometimne in the last year ...

And, if I needed anymore incentive to do something different, my own comment section suddenly won't allow me to sign in with Typepad. (I had to fill my information in manually.)

I am immediately suspicious. you're claiming now to be exactly what you've never been before. Except in your own mind. I'll continue to avoid your pretentious drivel. deliver content, stop talking about yourself, you might be a little bit interesting.

Rob Kailey

You behave as if I or anyone else should give a shit, Mark. I feel sad for you.
