Carl Graham lives near Bozeman. I live in Bozeman. Carl Graham runs a right-wing organization and lives on wingnut welfare and government subsistence. I work for a living. Carl Graham is an idiot. I'm not.
It would be fun, amusing and likely profitable for some radio station in Bozeman, perhaps some talk venue, to have Carl and I hold a discussion together. Call it a debate if you will. Maybe I'm alone in this idea, but I'd find it to be a hoot.
Please let us know if that ever happens. And tape if for us folks who are out of the listening area. For you see, I get a real kick outta Carl. He CLAIMS he's such a liberty guy. So what does he do? HE JOINS THE FREAKIN' MILITARY FOR TWENTY YEARS! Yeah, Carl, you got LOTS of freedom and liberty in there! I know. I spent four loooong years in that crap myself! Four years of my youth STOLEN!

That does sound fun.

I sure hope some smart Bozeman station realizes how many people would tune in for this.

Get in touch with Arron Flint. http://www.northernbroadcasting.com/

typo: s/b Aaron Flint. Here's his email address: aflint@northernbroadcasting.com

Sounds like some sort of zany sitcom.

I bet Aaron Flint has read your pointed exchange (just between us bloggers I am almost sure of it) but he is probably afraid to let you on his show. He has to company line it and protect his friend at the fake "think tank." Too bad, it would be a lot more interesting than his current format.

Aaron Flint might let Graham debate a dried up potato, however.
Posted by: Montana Cowgirl | August 05, 2010 at 06:42 PM
Cowgirl, instead of making things up, the simplest thing to do is but ask. I took the liberty of sending the following email to Aaron:

Aaron, since you have had Carl Graham as a guest perhaps you could
accommodate Wulfgar's request.

Craig Moore

Craig,
Thanks for the post- would be glad to have both of them on the show. Heck- would love to have Cowgirl on the show anytime as well...she'd have to give her real name though. Looks like you're doing fairly well since they gave you the boot from Left in the West. As for "company lining" it. If you listen- you'd quickly realize nearly anyonw is welcome to come on the show. I don't know why some politicians seem afraid to come on- I go fairly easy on all of em. Most just don't come on because they don't want to take questions from callers.

Rob and Cowgirl, I look forward to hearing you both on Aaron's statewide radio show.

Ever since Aaron made his gracious offer this topic quiet. What happened?
Posted by: Craig Moore | August 06, 2010 at 05:33 PM
I work for a living, Craig. Not to mention, Aaron's gracious offer was anything but, and had absolutely nothing to do with what I proposed. Don't be obtuse.

Wulfgar, huh???? Aaron wrote: "Thanks for the post- would be glad to have both of them on the show."
Sure sounds like he would have you and Carl Graham in the format you requested. Did you bother to contact him directly to work out having the debate you desire?
Posted by: Craig Moore | August 07, 2010 at 08:12 AM
Sorry Craig; I missed your comment until I checked my blogging email, which was about now.
I'm certain that Aaron would be happy to host such a debate, but you kinda missed the point. I said such a thing would be fun. With Aaron's involvement, the fun factor goes down by a lot. Maybe I've been reading Crisp too long, but I have little reason to trust a fair display at the Norther Broadcasting Network. for that reason, no. I didn't contact Flint, and have no intention of doing so now. An appearance by Graham on Flint's show would be more work to earn his wingnut welfare. For me to participate would be volunteer, and likely un-enjoyable given the biased venue. Now if Aaron would cough up some money ...
Craig, don't pretend that you don't know how wingnut welfare works. In such a venue, Carl would get to spew whatever lies he wants, and any counter could and would be fodder for the wingnut listener. Graham gets what he wants; Flint gets what he wants. I get absolutely nothing. So don't hand me a platter of shit and tell me that it's what I wanted. It's not.

Wulfgar, I sent Aaron this message:
Aaron, Wulfgar doesn't think he would get a fair shake on your radio show. Anything you could say to lessen his concerns? Wulfgar, you said it best yourself "I've been reading Crisp too long." You see- all he does is sit back and whine, never actually joins a conversation. Instead of reading Crisp- give a call to Jay Stevens over at LiTW. He was on the show along with Electric City Weblog's Gregg Smith. I wouldn't call it a debate- but it was a great discussion. Singer was on a while back too. In fact- I need to do another bloggers roundtable. Maybe we should even host a Bloggers Convention in Helena sometime during the session. Have you ever listened to the show? As Crisp complains about the right wingers that call into the show, he never mentions the left wingers that also call.
