I don't expect a very fair treatment of the issues since the synopsis calls "activists" and the other "extremists."

I'll bet a dollar to a doughnut that the pro-logging crowd is portrayed as knuckle-dragging Neanderthals, while the "activists" are enlightened folks just trying to help everyone out.

Any takers?

Actually, Craig, I'll take that bet. I probably owe you a donut anyway (though we aren't cool enough to have a Krispy Creme ;-)

Everything I've read about this documentary portrays the factions from inside the Kalispell area as people who just want to live a particular life, being manipulated by people like John Stokes. I'll happily pay up if I'm wrong.

So, instead of goons, they're simpletons who are easily manipulated?

Even better.

I'll have to take your word for it, since I probably won't see it.

But, I'll put up a Krispy Kreme against whatever doughnut you want. :)

Hmmmm....seems that you forgot two other elements. Left wing rabble rousers like moveon and Demo underground. By the by...enviros are the enemy.

I'm a couple of days behind in my reading, and so I missed this locally. Too bad - looks fascinating. Anyone know whether POV does reruns later in the season?

They are re-airing it on Montana PBS Sunday at 4 p.m. with a dialoge afterward at 5. I plan on taping it.

About the mis-spelling on my last comment, I apologize. I am hopped up on painkillers.
