My friend Mark pointed out what is likely a Fantasy Football first. We play in a 2 quarterback league, and both of his starting quarterbacks endured a long weather delay in their respective games. Lightning seems to be having as much impact on the NFL this year as Roger Goodell's authoritarian pouts are.
I wrote earlier that the Patriot's dynasty is likely over. That was apparent this weekend. Yes, the Pats are 2 -0, but beating the Jets by a score of 13 -10 is not something any team should be proud of save Cleveland, Oakland or Jacksonville. It certainly doesn't highlight the championship caliber of a team that has won it's division 10 of the last 12 years.
I'm getting a little annoyed at the pundits who continue to express 'surprise' that Kansas City is 2-0. I wrote last year that they had great talent but were losing games because of 1) bad coaching, 2) no quarterback worth playing and 3) they were just playing stupid football. Andy Reid is not a stupid coach and he doesn't have the team making stupid mistakes. Alex Smith is never going to wow people with his magical QB skills like Aaron Rodgers does, but he is efficient and effective. The game I fear the most for my beloved Broncos is when they face KC in Arrowhead.
