is reporting today that the word "tax" appears 183 times in the health
care bill. Is Obama serious? Is that what he and Reid want to do to
us in the midst of a recession?
course, all this increased spending -- and taxes -- means that you will
have less money to spend on pursuing your real passions: like
providing for your family and purchasing guns and ammunition!
Notice please, exactly no exposition of what the word "tax" actually means in the context. Notice that purchasing guns and ammunition is put on the same moral level as "providing" for a family. Notice that their 3 bullet points are all wrong. None of that matters to them. What matters is that health care reform will keep you from stocking up on .223!!!
Anyone who's ever owned or fired a firearm should laugh these clowns right out of existence.
as we have mentioned several times in the past, the mandates in the
legislation will most likely dump your gun-related health data into a
government database that was created in section 13001 of the stimulus
What firearm related data? That you were stupid enough to shoot yourself in the foot? No shit, Sherlock. That should be in a health related data, under the "too stupid to pass the Darwin test" clause.
includes any firearms-related information your doctor has gleaned... or
any determination of PTSD, or something similar, that can preclude you
from owning firearms.
PTSD does not now, nor has any provision called for it to, preclude firearm ownership. Unless, the PTSD is related to a psychosis akin to clinical schizophrenia, that is. Do you want schizoids to own firearms? Do you? Apparently, the gun-barrel suckers of America do.
special "wellness and prevention" programs (inserted by Section 1001 of
the bill as part of a new Section 2717 in the Public Health Services
Act) would allow the government to offer lower premiums to employers
who bribe their employees to live healthier lifestyles -- and nothing
within the bill would prohibit rabidly anti-gun HHS Secretary Kathleen
Sebelius from decreeing that "no guns" is somehow healthier.
This is the same bullshit that the wingnuts have been hocking about Pepsi cola drinkers. 'Nothing within the bill would prohibit the gubmint from banning soft drinks, or sushi, or pork, or bacon, or breathing ...'
Nothing within the bill would allow such crap either. But the gun fellators don't want you to recognize that.
There is nothing here except fear and loathing of Democrats. Those are the same things they share with our beloved Mr. Tokarski. Fear and Loathing of Democrats. But notice please that Mark T doesn't care about the real threats to reason or sanity. He cares about bringing Democrats down. That is the same objective and spew of these wackos.
I'll take sane and harmful over the lunatics any day. It's too bad so few others will.
Way back in the day, my daily reads included many websites that frankly went insane after 9/11. Some of the bloggers went a little Wharrrgarble cookoo, some just let their websites be taken over by the delusional. Some dove head first into the insanity, granting themselves a false sense of purpose and importance. It became fairly clear to me then that many don't really wish to engage or think about or discuss issues; they simply want to find their own importance in them. I always thought that was the shtick of the libertarians and objectivists.
I'm seeing the same thing now among the leftward in the blogosphere. My temptation is the same as it was then; to simply quit reading the bullshit. 'Obama is a complete failure! The government sucks because the people suck and you suck too if you don't agree that I need what I need! Gimme Gimme Gimme!' The end message is that these twits know more than all of us and demand that we pay them in blood, money and submission. Don't get me wrong, the right is continuing their campaign of the same, but they've been doing so since Reagan. It's kinda old hat by now. To me, it's kind of new to see such tripe from people who claim to believe in progress and love this country, and yet hate everyone in it who doesn't agree with them 100%. They've gone completely nuts, delusional. They're like the PUMA's, only not as comedic.
So here's the question: Why should I, or anyone, continue to read websites taken over by such a gang of idiots?
It has now been about 36 hours since the
most definitive victory for conservatism ever, yet according to my
sources, Obama is still President, the Senate still has 60 Democrats,
and the House gained a Democrat.
I guess you have to live in the beltway or work for a cable network to truly understand election results.
A minor correction. The clown circus Senate has only 57 Democrats, and Max Baucus. This is something I think we shall have to remedy.
