Alex, those aren't the worst of the bruises. But, one must make choices in circle. Sticks against staff is never a good choice; better if one is willing to hurt the opponent, worse if one chooses not too. I chose worse. Chris certainly has nothing to be shamed of, nor do I.
Doug, I'd love to explain, but ... suffice to say that it was an old man attempting to recapture a part of youth at the expense of his body. I'm to a point where I feel that is an adequate trade.
