Reason Number 47 to *LOATHE* Adobe.
I just downloaded the online updates to Acrobat Pro 7, and the install required *5* reboots. That can't have actually been necessary.

Funny, I install it on Linux and it doesn't ask for a reboot...
come to think of it, only a kernel upgrade does that...
I am with Craig on this one.

I dread Adobe updates. They screw something up more often than not. I usually just pass on them until I have time for trouble, which is usually never.

Foxit!

BUT... if you don't get the goddamned update it reminds you that you need it at particularly inopportune times. It can't just tell you when you boot up your computer, or perhaps even when you USE Adobe Acrobat... the update reminder comes up at random, in order to get your attention by distracting you from what you're doing.
It's spyware, goddammit. But I sure do need it.

Ohh, I LOVE the Adobe updater! My god, how much could really change?
My theory: Coding is becoming sloppier due to the, "Screw it, if it's not good enough, we'll just update it AGAIN" factor of the software company...
