Dude, we left before 6 and didn't reach the canyon before 11. You do realize that ... baring deer... it's a 5 hour drive through the Big Hole, right?

Actually, no I didn't. I was somewhat trusting to Mapquest (they list it as a 3 hour drive) and frankly, I don't remember us leaving that early.
That said, I will adjust accordingly. We still want to be there between 7 - 8am so that we have the full day to hike...

Let's make it 8. And please remember, it was pitch ass black when we left, and it was about 11 when we arrived (we didn't hit the trail until almost noon).
By the way, just to be sure, we are talking Thursday the 28, right?
