I've taken a couple of weeks off work just to de-tox my soul a little bit. As you may have noticed, posting will be light to non-existent until I'm back to the grind. Until then, I'm content to be a happy little mushroom. I will still check in on others as time permits, but you can all probably do without my rantings for while.
Besides, this way I can do stoopid things like get up at 4 in the morning just to see the sun rise up Bridger canyon. There are a whole lotta' deer out at that time in the AM. I'd post a picture of the elk herd I watched, but my new camera isn't nearly as good at (non-tripod) low light photography as my old one was. I didn't really go up there to take pictures, anyway. It was more just to experience it, an adventure I highly recommend. And I learned a few things. I was under the impression that elk only bugle in the autumn. There was one old fella this morning who taught me otherwise. I never saw him, but he sure sounded proud. It's a good thing to sit above a high mountain meadow and just wait for the sun to rise. Kinda' lonely, and kinda' nice for it. I'm gonna' have to do that again real soon.
Take care, all.
